Watch VideoI found Ismaelito because I was told his welding shop was the oldest in town. I knocked on his door and a tiny old man poked his head out of a cut-out window. I told him I was a photographer and that I wanted to see the inside of the building. I am always amazed at how gen- erous people are in the small towns, letting me into their places of work, sometimes their homes, without know- ing me. The signs inside the shop read: “All jobs are cash only” and “We do not lend out tools.” Ismaelito’s father believed those were the two most important precepts to properly run a welding shop.Ayacucho, Buenos Aires Province
