Marcelino López General Store, 2009
As I drove through the long main road that leads to Indio Rico, I noticed an old corner that caught my eye. I got out of the truck and took a peek through the win- dow. The place looked half empty and there was no one inside. Then I saw a truck pull behind the building, so I went over and introduced myself. It was one of the owners. He told me the place had closed some months prior, but he was willing to open it for me to take the pic- ture. I was drawn to the, rusty shadows of tools and parts fossilized into the drawers. It was a beautiful statement on the passage of time.
